Saddened...

So...as great as it was, apparently there is no hope in seeing an end to the story. ABC has officially "not picked up" Pushing Daisies past the nine episodes of this "season." I'm not really sure why they would do this, but they did.

Yet, it happens. It has happened before. It's how cult classics become cult classics. Except that cult classics usually have only a small, loyal following and almost zero critic support. Pushing Daisies had tons of critic support...it even won Emmys...hmm, that sounds like a show that should be cancelled.

In a world where we have more than one Law and Order, more than one CSI, and dozens of Reality TV Shows all of which have almost the same plot-line...we decide to end the only sparkle of light that cuts through the reality, through the death and morbidity, the one show that put some whimsy in life.

I completely blame ABC: No show should be held responsible for low viewership after the writers' strike, when ABC left two weeks without Pushing Daisies episodes (and very little if any commercials for it) it should not be the responsibility of ONE episode to gain viewers. Way to go ABC! Going to ABC's homepage, one can find Grey's Anatomy, Privte Practice, SuperNanny, and Dancing with the Stars episodes readily available. Yet, one must search and find Pushing Daisies. ABC sabotaged Pushing Daisies...they did not want it to succeed. They would rather put another group of crippled, mentally-challenged, desperate once-stars making complete fools of themselves on television.

The American public who enjoys these shows is just as much to blame. AMERICA: WAKE UP! You re just dumbing yourselves down. You canot possibly find enjoyment in yet another season of Dancing with the Stars; and if you do, you are just celebrity-chasers and wanna-bes yourselves. Wake up and seek something different. Reality Television is not all that realistic.

Good going ABC, can't wait to watch another season of crap...oh wait...you've lost my viewership entirely.

From the Beginning

So this is number five of blogs I have started...let's hope this one turns out a little better than the others.

A few notes about this blog:
(1) Thank you to the AMAZING show: Pushing Daisies for continuous inspiration.
(2) Don't expect daily updates...I have a habit of going a week+ without posting and then posting several in one sitting...but do check back often.
(3) please, Please, PLEASE feel free to comment...I love knowing people read this thing.

Keep sniffing...and follow that yellow thick hose!
